RICHARD CARTER

President/Owner

42 Years of Claims Experience


Richard began his insurance claims career in 1976 as a Field Adjuster for Eaton Adjustment & Appraisal  in Raleigh, NC.  In 1981, he relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC and took the position of  Claims Manager for Will Darrah & Associates.  In 1986 he moved to Melbourne, Florida where he served as Claims Manager for United Southern Assurance Company.  In 1992, Richard furthered his career in the position of Claims Manager with United National Group of Philadelphia, PA. After years of working for various companies, Richard formed his own company (American Claims Associates, Inc.) in Melbourne, FL in 1996. Richard stepped aside from his business in 2008 and moved to Mooresville, NC in order to take care of his Mother.  While in NC, Richard and his wife, Jane, opened four antique malls.  After the death of his Mother, he sold that business and in 2018, purchased Acme Claims Services, LLC from his long-time friend and colleague, Chuck Keller.  Now operating under the name of Acme Claims Associates, Richard has offices not only in Las Vegas but also in Myrtle Beach, SC, Kingman AZ and Melbourne, FL

CHUCK KELLER

Vice President of Claims

50+ Years of Claims Experience


Chuck's long-standing insurance claims career began in 1964 with State Auto & Casualty Underwriters of Denver, CO.  In 1971, he formed Greer-Keller Claim Service of Oklahoma City, OK.  Later in 1996, he formed Kelco Claim Service in Las Vegas, NV.  In 2005, administrative changes to Kelco formed American Claims Management Enterprises (ACME).  In 2007, ACME was changed to Acme Claims Service LLC with Chuck as the Owner/Manager.  Chuck ran a very successful business but felt the time had come to turn the command of the business over to someone else.  After considering several options,  in 2018, Chuck sold his business to his old friend, Richard Carter.    He continues to be a valued part of the company in his role as VP of Claims.

JANE CARTER

Vice President of Operations

48 Years of Administrative Experience


After graduating from college in 1970, Jane began working at the Charlotte, NC Police Department in Personnel & Training and Budget.  In 1980 after relocating to Myrtle Beach, SC, Jane worked in the Association Management Division of Chicora Development.  She became a real estate agent in Melbourne, FL in 1986 and later worked for MainLine Desktop Publishing Company in  PA before going back to Florida to further her real estate career.  In 2008, Jane and Richard moved to NC where they owned and managed four antique malls.  In 2018, Jane joined Acme Claims Associates and plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations as VP of Operations for all Acme offices.

47 Years of Claims Experience


Steve, a former member of the US Navy, has worked for AcmeE Claims  since 2003.  His insurance claims experience goes back to 1971 as material damage supervisor with Capco.  Steve has worked in supervisory positions with several other insurance companies in California, including claims at A.I.A.C. Transport and Transit Casualty.  He also served as the Vice President of Claims with Sterling Casualty.

DAVID AMSPOKER

32 Years of Claims Experience


David  came to work for Acme Claims in 2009.  His claims career began in 1986 with Farmers Insurance Company in Kingman, AZ.   He has also worked as an investigator with a law firm, as a branch manager with Kelco Claims and as a multi-line adjuster with Farm Bureau Insurance.  In addition to having a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, David owns his own airplane which is often used in specialty field claims.

Barbara has been employed at Acme Claims since 2000. She began her career with Interstate Detective Agency in Chicago, IL. Later on she was in the Research & Development division of Helene Curtis where she served as an Administrative Professional.   Barbara is experienced & proficient in transcribing recorded statements and captioned reports.  She has a vast knowledge of the business and is an asset to Acme.

Peggy served as a Paralegal for Hall, Booth, Smith & Slover Attorneys at Law from 2000 to 2004.  She then established her own business in retail sales.  In 2006, she served as SVP REgional Retail Leader for Centennial Bank until purchasing Drase Adjusting Service in 2017.  Acme Claims Associates is proud to have Peggy on board.

Guy has been an insurance adjuster for many years.  He lives in Little River, SC and is quite knowledgeable in his field.  In addition to his knowledge of claims in general, Guy is quite the expert when it comes to marine claims; i.e, boats, etc.  His assistance with storm damage claims in NC and SC has been particularly valuable to Acme Claims Associates.

Rob is our cable expert.  He has worked in the cable business starting with Cox Cable back in the 1980's and eventually formed his own company.  After storm damage, he plays an important role in the coordination of cable services for the insured's benefit in claim settlement.
